5 Findings Ongoing Current trends Non-permanent housing
People reported that they did not feel their housing situation was secure Did not know where they would go after time was up Reported feeling stress due to worrying about where they will stay Shelters offer a lot of different resources for people to use Interviewees had been evicted from camp

6 Findings Permanent housing
Saw a positive impact on children’s schooling People felt more financial security Spending less on rent and utilities People felt safer in their houses and neighborhoods Less use of government assistance More stable, don’t have to worry about day to day Less concern about losing housing More personal More room for their families Sense of pride

7 Discussions Living in a non-permanent housing situation can increase stress Many people felt a significant amount of stress about finances Concerns for their safety at times Overall feelings of a lack of security Permanent housing programs have a positive impact on people’s lives People feel safer, and more secure Seeing their children perform better in school Overall better quality of life Saves the city money
