WHAT’S IT LIKE TO BE A BROTHER?
Include time for current Brothers and/or Alumni to briefly share their experiences in Phi Sigma Pi. Keep it specific and how the experience has impacted you. Be sure to have a fun and enthusiastic attitude!! -Why did you join? -What are your favorite parts about your Chapter? -What’s your favorite memory? -What are you going to take away from your collegiate experience in Phi Sigma Pi? -What do you look forward to each semester/what is your favorite event? -Alumni Questions: How has Phi Sigma Pi impacted your professional career/life after college? **If your Alumni are involved in Alumni Chapters or the NAA, they can talk about their experience and engagement in fellowship as Alumni!**

Q&A Collect all the index cards from attendees and answer those questions. Also, allow time for any additional questions not written down. Have a couple back-up questions, if none are submitted. These could include: I am worried about the dues, how do you help Initiate manage the financial commitment? - Here you can talk about payment plans and Initiate scholarships if your Chapter offers these. Another sample question might be: What time commitment should I expect? You can have Brothers talk about how manageable it is and what to expect from week to week.

DELETE THIS SLIDE & SLIDE 1 BEFORE PRESENTING
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR PRESENTATION DELETE THIS SLIDE & SLIDE 1 BEFORE PRESENTING Mingle with potential new members and not other Brothers! Make personal connections! Introduce potential new members to Brothers you think they might have something in common with! If potential new members haven’t already provided a name/ address/phone number, make sure to have them sign in with this contact information. A great way to keep everything organized is using a laptop or tablet at the event so you don’t have to enter it manually after. Google Sheets is a great resource to utilize for this. Play icebreaker games in small groups; such as, Get-to-Know-You Bingo or beach ball trivia (Ask Brothers who are RAs, Orientation Leaders or Camp Counselors, for more ideas!) Follow-up with potential new members that you spoke with and give them your phone number, add them on Facebook and let them know you are excited to see them at your next event! Say things like: “Can’t wait to see you there,” rather than, “Hope to see you there,” which leaves no question as to whether or not they will come! This is a great encourager to get potential new members to return to your next events!
