-unsaturated: good for heart health -saturated: too much raises blood cholesterol -trans: increases the risk of heart disease *Facts* -most fruits & vegetables have almost no fat -important part of a healthy diet -provides twice as much energy as carbohydrates. *Functions -provides essential fatty acids -helps move certain vitamins through blood stream *Foods* -snack foods, baked goods, fried foods, oils, & margarine
