Grading Policy f The following criteria & percentages will be used to assess your child in math this year: Tests: 40% Projects: 30% Classwork: 25% (Math Workshop, Mid-Chapter Checkpoints, Participation etc.) Homework: 5% This grading policy allows for students to excel in different areas & provides a balance between work in school & at home.

Binders include: (1) 2 pocket folder Interactive notebook pages (in page protectors) (1) 3-ring pencil case Test Folders Completed tests will be sent home Corresponding log sheet Used to keep you in the loop! Specials Monday: Spanish (Mrs. Giglio) Tuesday: PE & Art (Ms. O’Brien & Mrs. O’Brien) Wednesday: Computers (Mrs. Carney) Thursday: PE & Media (Ms. O’Brien & Mrs. Barriento) Friday: Music (Mrs. Weiner)

Organized into 3 sections; homework pgs. included in big book! Interactive notebooks will follow the chapters Used until 5th grade; 6th grade transitions to a new series Interactive Notebooks Each page includes interactive components Vocabulary flash cards on the back Page protectors keep the pages neat & clean Online Component: Think Central Games/ Extra Practice (Personal Math Trainer) Assessments will be given online “Prescriptions” assigned based on student need Utilized in class as well
