The slim design and wide range of installation possibilities also make it an extremely versatile UPS.

10. Rear Panel Features RS-232 Communications Port
Provides unattended shutdown and remote UPS monitoring capability when used with included power management software and communication cable.
Network Transient Protector
Isolates your modem, fax machine, telephone and other communications equipment from "back door" power surges.
Load Segments
Load Segment 1 & 2 are sets of receptacles that can be controlled by power management software, providing an orderly shutdown and startup of your equipment
USB Communications Port
The UPS can communicate with a USB-compliant computer when used with included LanSafe power management software.

11. Optional Web/SNMP Card
The Web/SNMP Card enables you to monitor and control remote UPSs from web browsers or industry standard network management systems. The Web/SNMP Card inserts into the slot on the back of your Avaya UPS, supports real-time web and SNMP communication over 10/100BaseT Ethernet connections, and serves as a power-protected switching hub to support three additional 10/100BaseT links.

12. Optional Power Distribution Unit (PDU)
The new, optional PDU allows you to provide additional output receptacles.
The PDU plugs into a rear output receptacle on the UPS and can be
mounted virtually anywhere in a rack enclosure.
The PDU can also be used independently without using a UPS.
