What is a Jack-o-lantern
A jack-o-lantern is typically a carved pumpkinn. It is associated chiefly with the holiday of Halloweenn and was named after the phenomenon of strange light flickering over peat bogs, called inaisfatuus or jack-o'-lantern. In a jack-o'-lantern, typically the top is cut off, and the inside flesh then scooped out; an image, usually a monstrous face, is carved onto the outside surface, and the lid replaced

Trick or Treat, for those of you unaware, is a Hallowe'en custom in both England and the US, where kids go round to people's houses on Hallowe'en night, dressed in some kind of costume, and challenge the inhabitants with the cry, "Trick or Treat?" The householder then chooses between a trick or treat having some kind of practical joke played on them by the kids
