The first registration
All refugees have to go to the „Initial Reception Centres for asylum seekers“. In the federal state Baden-Württemberg it is located in Heidelberg.

Refugees have to live in community housings, in towns from the county
after 3 month they can apply for a working permission
In addition they can apply for a permission to join an integration course

After 3 month Refugees can apply a working permission at the foreigners authority.
→ The foreigners authority needs an approval from the employment agency
priority test  deleted after 15 month

The decision of the BAMF
1. Dublin decision
The refugees have to leave Germany.
The Dublin Regulation stipulates which country is responsible for the asylum procedure. It is often the country in which the Refugees arrive first.
They came to Germany via a safe country.
they will be send back to the responsible safe country
they have to apply for asylum in the responsible country
establish a Suspension of Deportation (Duldung)

2. Negativ decision
The application has been denied.
Refugees have to leave Germany.

3. Positiv decision
The refugees are allowed to stay in Germany.
They get a limited residence permit, a travel ID card and a full working permition.
They have to attend an integration course.
They can look for a flat and can stay whereever they want.
They get unemployment benefit (Arbeits-losengeld): €404 plus flat costs.

Family reunification
The members of the accepted refugees can apply a visa for family reunification.
There is a simplified process when they apply the visa until 3 months after the positiv decision. → no own salary required → timely notification

Easing of priority policy: German Government will create more jobs for Refugees. The easing of priority policy give Refugees better chances for jobs.
Refugees with a residence permission are getting more benefits for the working integration.
People who attend education courses and have a Suspension of Deportation („Duldung“) are allowed to stay in Germany till the end of the education process. Following this qualification process they can stay another 2 years, but just when they work.
The family reunification is limited for refugees who have a special residence permission (subsidiary protection).

The federal countries can decide, that accepted refugees get a localy restricted residence permit.
Refugees will get the unlimited residence permit after 5 years (bevor coming into effect: 3 years). After 3 years they can get the unlimited residence permit only when they work and they can speek German very well.
In the event that refugees do not attend the Integration courses, social benefits will reduced significantly.
