1 CLARITY FROM ABOVE

2 AEROBOTICS OVERVIEW Aerobotics is an aerial data analytics company
Through applying machine learning to high- resolution imagery, they provide insight and competitive advantage to farmers Since their first client in 2014, they now deliver actionable information to clients in the U.K., South Africa and Australia, covering 620,000+ acres of agricultural land The company is now targeting the crop insurance market Their mission: deliver the first agricultural insurance product that benefits both farmer and insurer, all year round

3 Elevation profiles & contour maps
CURRENT CAPABILITIES – AEROVIEW IMAGERY Aeroview is Aerobotics’ simple web-based analytics platform where all data is accessed high-res 16-megapixel imagery A recognisable overview for both farmer and insurer – and the building block for much of the analytics crop health (ndvi) The industry standard vegetation health measurement Elevation profiles & contour maps 100x greater resolution than Google Maps – enabling flood risk modelling

4 grid based trending data
CURRENT CAPABILITIES – AEROVIEW ANALYTICS Aeroview is Aerobotics’ simple web-based analytics platform where all data is accessed Per-tree analytics Vital KPI for yield estimation and farm valuations, and enables farmers to undertake advanced risk management 3D modelling Biomass and crop height Scan 1 Scan 2 grid based trending data An industry first, and the core of our insurance offering – allowing us to precisely track farm performance over time

5 / / / / / / / / CURRENT PROBLEMS IN CROP INSURANCE The outcomes?
Both farmer and insurer endure frustrations with the current process Insurers are carrying excess risk and cost Farmers remain unconvinced of the value of insurance Macro level assessment method for pricing / Expensive annual cost, squeezing already tight margins / Difficult to quantify actual losses for claims / Mistrust and frustration with the claims process / Risk of overpayment or payouts on inflated yields / Risk of adverse selection and moral hazard / Viewed as multiple payment, single benefit / Significant monitoring costs / The outcomes? Low market penetration “Only one third of global [farming] production is currently insured” SwissRe: Big Data Approaches To Crop Insurance in Asia; Aug 2016 Negative customer sentiment “For many in the agricultural sector, the prospect of an attractive and affordable multi-peril insurance product is nothing more than an 'old chestnut' rolled time and time again.” Australian Farmer; Jan 2017

6 AEROBOTICS’ SOLUTION – DUAL BENEFIT
The truth is, farmers and insurers interests are aligned: reduce risk and cost, increase yield and efficiency Aerobotics’ analytics delivers actionable information, faster, and at lower cost Insurer Farmer Now Future Now Future Claims are hard to quantify and can be subjective Accurate assessment through quantitative claim data – increase transparency and eliminate fraud Significant annual expense, that does not increase yield Insurance that gives them the tools to manage their farm more efficiently Limited ability to manage moral hazard By giving farmers the tools to improve, insurers create a pool of customers that actively reduce their risk over the life of a policy Lack of trust in the claims process Secure in the knowledge that payment will reflect the loss, and it will be quick Standard re-insurance rates Better information and greater confidence means improved re-insurance rates Time and resource cost of mandatory assessments Germination, flowering and pre-harvest assessments delivered in one simple platform Transactional relationship Partnership – working together for mutual benefit

7 AEROBOTICS’ DIFFERENTIATOR: TRENDING DATA
Trending data enables both farmer and insurer to continuously adapt and react, and provides the confidence that all assessments are accurate throughout the relationship Scheduled Data Collection & Analysis Drone flights on a regular basis build up historical and trending data for deep insights Where applicable, mandated or standard insurance assessments can be replaced or guided by aerial data Satellite imagery can also be utilised, and drones deployed when high-res data is required 1 Settlement Accuracy & Fraud Prevention With accurate and verified data, the insurer can settle claims quickly and with the knowledge that the risk of fraud is dramatically reduced 5 2 Loss Event Reporting Farmers are able to report losses due to weather or other insured risk events Reports are validated by Aeroview using external weather data Aeroview provides all data to both parties – online and in customisable report formats 4 3 Unique & Actionable Analytics Utilising historical data and post loss-event data, Aeroview calculates the precise extent of the damage Damage Assessment Flight Scheduled following the Loss Event to ensure maximum accuracy

8 Multiple insurance market opportunities under development
VALUE CHAIN TARGETING Analytics based on trending data allows Aerobotics to target specific segments of the insurance and farming value chains to deliver dual-benefit Product Design Pricing & Underwriting Distribution Admin & Claims Management Insurance Value Chain Pricing flexibility and product innovation Improved risk cost management Data driven cross selling opportunities Standard MPCI assessment reports Auto-validated claim submissions Use cases to optimise crop insurance provision Use cases prepared Multiple insurance market opportunities under development Real-world use case prepared Use cases to enable precision agriculture Data-driven resource (water fertilizer etc) targeting to lower costs Early disease detection Yield forecasting Input provisioning (resources) Production Cleaning / grading Trade Processing Retail Financial Services Farming Value Chain

9 USE CASE: MPCI ASSESSMENT REPORTS
An example pre-harvest assessment dashboard Aerobotics can provide to insurers

10 USE CASE: PRECISION DRIVEN CLAIMS
A packaged solution to optimise and de-risk the claims process, allowing the insurer to focus on decisions Current High Level Standard claims process Loss Event Claim Submission Claim Processing On-Site Assessment Decision Reported by farmer to insurer Insurer must log and validate the loss Policy-holder provides data to support claim Claim must be reviewed manually Insurers administration department assess claim vs similar previous claims Loss adjuster (contracted or staff) dispatched to verify claim Aerobotics’ end-to-end solution streamlines the claims process, removing cost and increasing accuracy Claims Process Loss Event Reporting Precision Assessment Quantitative Claim Utilising the analytics output and basic policy data from the insurer Farmer reports loss event through Aeroview platform Aerobotics Data Loss event type: Weather Validated: Y/N Severe damage: x m2 Medium damage: x m2 For weather related loss events, Aeroview will initially validate using external data sources (historical weather data) Following confirmation, an assessment flight will be scheduled ASAP Most recent pre-claim imagery used as the basis for comparison Objective, quantitative claims calculation Insurer data Policy: MPCI Crop type: Wheat Loss threshold: $13,000 Aerobotics’ damage assessment algorithm automatically plots total damage area, severity and estimates yield impact

12 High Resolution Imagery NDVI (stress level indicator)
USE CASE: ANALYTICS DRIVEN RESOURCE TARGETING, LOWERING COSTS NDVI (Crop Health) scan showing variable stress levels across the farm Applying ‘per plant’ analytics to identify those showing early signs of stress Adjusting analytics parameters to mark GPS coordinates of non-yielding plants DATA ACTION Utilising the historical multi-spectral imagery, the farmer can easily identify growing risk areas and prioritise the resources required to address the issue Drill-down ability allows targeting of fertiliser to ‘rescue’ crops that can be brought back to full-yield production GPS coordinates can be loaded to water and fertiliser distribution systems to prevent resource waste on non-yielding plants OUTCOME Ensure correct resources (fertiliser, pesticide) are purchased and available to address crop stress Targeted deployment of resources to impacted crops Reduce wastage and save costs High Resolution Imagery NDVI (stress level indicator) Per Tree Data
