Pair up students and give an index card to each group. (FI) Remind students how to fill out their graphic organizer & discuss and annotate with their partner about their stanza. (GI) Students will get in their paired groups and interpret and annotate their stanza of Emily Dickinson’s poem. (FI) (CI) Teacher will go to each paired group, listen to their discussions & see if they are annotating correctly and how they are interpreting their stanzas.
