Convection Conduction Radiation
Draw these lines where you made the cuts to separate these sections and write these 3 words on the tabs. (Do not write the words in red. These are just the instructions.) Hot Cold Convection is the transfer of energy as heat by the movement of a liquid or gas. Hotter substances become less dense and rise. Example: Wind, Boiling Water Conduction is the transfer of energy as heat from one substance or particle to another through direct contact. Example: Touching a hot stove, Metal handle becomes hot. Radiation is the transfer of energy by electromagnetic waves. Heat transferred by radiation can travel through space. Example: The Sun, A Campfire Radiation Conduction Convection
