Statistical tools and software, analyzing data more efficiently, working with varied and challenging personalities in a professional manner Personal Interests: my niece, playing sports (soccer, softball, volleyball, etc.), being on the water, planning events

10 In MTE we are statistical consultants for projects at various stages: innovation, engineering, manufacturing Quality and Statistical Engineering Group You are contracted out to different projects where you are the statistician on the team, but you have a group of experienced statisticians to use as resources Examples of statistics in my projects Probability and power analysis DOE Capability studies

12 Intern Position Requirements
Education: Candidate for MS/MA in Statistics or senior level undergrad who has been accepted into a MS/MA Statistics program. Or current MS/MA Statistics student. Required Skills: Strong interest in industrial statistical applications with a high level of technical curiosity Statistical knowledge in these areas:  descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, regression and correlation analysis, ANOVA, factorial and response surface DOE Proficiency in the use of computer based statistical applications (e.g. Minitab, JMP) Ability to present statistical data and analysis in written and graphical form that is understandable to broad audiences Strong team skills, able to interact well with a diverse project team Enjoy problem solving in a technical environment

13 Intern and Full Time Skills
Desired Skills: Statistical knowledge in other areas:  nonparametric methods, time series analysis, reliability analysis, multivariate analysis, process capability studies, sample size determination, acceptance sampling, data mining, principle component analysis, mixture experiments BS in Engineering and/or work experience in manufacturing or R&D Advanced Excel Skills - pivot tables & macro development Six Sigma Training and/or experience American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM) Soft Skills:  Good interpersonal skills and strong desire to work with cross functional teams. Good team builder – open, engaging, leadership , active listener Excellent communications skills – oral, written and presentation skills. Able to react to changing priorities and effectively manage the team through the changes.
