WHO WE ARE: AHMADIYYA MUSLIM JAMA’AT
Established: 1889 by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) ( ) of Qadian, India. He proclaimed himself as the awaited Promised Messiah and Mahdi whose advent was foretold by the Holy Prophet (sa).  In fulfilling Jesus’ second advent, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) arrived in the “spirit and power” of Jesus just as John the Baptist fulfilled the second advent of Elijah.  (Matthew 11:14 and 17:12-13).

We are Muslims who work within our governments around the world on how to address terrorism and extremism in Islam by removing the very tools (e.g., the anti-blasphemy laws) that give extremists control over minorities and, subsequently, society as a whole.
The Prime Minister of Canada praised the Ahmadiyya Khalifa as a "courageous champion of religious freedom and of peace," and applauded him for denouncing anyone who perverts faith by using it as a justification for violence.
