1. Friedensreich Hundertwasser
-He is by far one of the most famous contemporary artists of Austria.
-He is famous for his interest in architecture and designing various postage stamps and coins.

2. As a painter and an architect, Hundertwasser rejected the “straight line” in any of his projects. The “spiral” dominates the flow of his paintings that are accentuated by the use of vibrant color which the artist make himself from natural pigments.

4. Hundertwasser was born in Austria, but his influences span the globe as he traveled and lived not only throughout Europe but also in Africa and the South Pacific.

5. Austria will always be considered the primary foundation for the artist as it is home to the Hundertwasser museum as well as his most notable architectural projects. One of these projects is the famous Hundertwasser haus which draws thousands of people to Vienna each year.
