1 Chapter 7 Review

2 Interior Angles Theorem:
The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a convex n-gon is The measure of each interior angle of a regular n-gon is

3 Exterior Angles Theorem:
The sum of the measures of the exterior angles of a convex polygon, one at each vertex, is 360˚

4 Parallelograms Opposite sides are congruent.
Opposite angles are congruent. Both pairs of opposite sides are parallel. Consecutive sides are supplementary. Diagonals bisect each other.

5 Rhombus A parallelogram with four congruent sides.
Diagonals are perpendicular. Each diagonal bisects a pair of opposite angles.

6 Rectangle A parallelogram with four right angles.
Diagonals are congruent.

7 Square A parallelogram with four congruent sides and four right angles. Must be a rectangle and rhombus

8 Kites 1) a quadrilateral with exactly two pairs of adjacent congruent sides Kite 2) The diagonals of a kite are perpendicular 3) Exactly one pair of opposite angles that are congruent (short diagonal) 4) The longer diagonals bisects the shorter diagonal.

9 1) a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides.
Base Leg Leg Base How many sets of parallel sides? Is it a parallelogram? 1) a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides. 2) The parallel sides are the bases. 3)The nonparallel sides are the legs.

10 Additionally, If we have an isosceles triangle: 2) 3)
1) A trapezoid is isosceles if the legs are congruent. Additionally, If we have an isosceles triangle: 2) 3) Each pair of base angles are congruent The diagonals are congruent

11 Trapezoid Midsegment Theorem
B C A D X Y The midsegment is a segment parallel to each base at the legs midpoint. Formula: ½(B1+B2)
