6 Culture Then Clothing: Trappers used to wear animal furs as clothing to keep them warm in the winter. Food: Moose meat is a traditional Canadian dish. It can be eaten raw.

9 Culture Now Clothing: Some people wear hockey jerseys to support their team. Food: Poutine is a delicious food made of fries, gravy, and special curd cheese.

10 Environment Human Impact
Canada has thousands of lakes and rivers. Unfortunately, some people do not reuse or recycle their garbage, and it ends up in the water. Some of the factories that make our stuff also pollute the water around us. That is why it is important to reduce the amount of things we buy, so the factories don’t have to make so much.

11 Explain the Change What is different?
There are more buildings and they are much taller. Why did the change happen? More and more people started living in Toronto. New buildings needed to be built for them to live in, work in, and be entertained in. New types of building material made it easier to build bigger and faster.
