3. CWC – Key Messages – EQ response
The Government of Indonesia has identified relocation sites in each of the affected regencies. Local authorities can provide you with further information in relation to location and services provided.
If possible, have an emergency bag ready for you and your family. This should contain essential items you will need immediately after an EQ. Contents: a torch and batteries, a small radio, enough dry food, a plastic bottle of drinking water, a bottle of chlorine drops for purifying drinking water, a basic medical kit and photocopies of your ID cards.
Carry a whistle with you at all times to attract attention for emergencies. Blow the whistle if you are trapped or injured by an aftershock. You can also blow the whistle if you are attacked. A whistle can be heard far away and it can save your voice.
In case of aftershock, adopt the safety position : Drop, Cover, and Hold On. Drop down low to make yourself small. Then cover your head and neck with your arms. These two actions will help to protect you from falling objects. If there is strong furniture nearby such as a table, hold on to it. This will also help to protect you. Once you have assumed this safety position, stay where you are until the shaking stops.
After a disaster, family members may be split apart and lose contact with each other. Make sure children and the elderly can remember or keep a document, official or handwritten, with them at all times that provides their name, address and family contact information and mobile telephone number if available. This information will help make sure children and elderly can be reunited with their family after a disaster.

4. CWC – Key Messages – Radiation
The Government of Indonesia has identified a mandatory evacuation zone of 2km surrounding PTSA and a voluntary only evacuation zone of 3km.
Local Authorities will inform you when it is safe for you to return within the 2km evacuation zone.
Current radiation levels have not reached a threshold that can pose threat to human beings or livestock. Therefore the mandatory evacuation is a precautionary measure.
The Government of Indonesia and the TNI are taking measure to ensure that livelihoods (livestock, harvests etc) are maintained to the maximum extent possible.

The Government of Indonesia continues to monitor the Vulcanic activity which for the time being does not pose any threat.
Should the volcanic activity increase and an evacuation become necessary, the Government of Indonesia has identified relocation sites in each of the affected regencies. Local authorities can provide you with further information in relation to location and services provided.
Prepare a disaster action plan with your family. Agree on a meeting point outside in a safe open space. Plan escape routes in case the main door is blocked. Keep copies of information on any special needs you have, medications being taken and any allergies or sensitivities.

This information will help make sure children and elderly can be reunited with their family after a disaster.

Earthquake
Working on understanding the number of people who may need to be evacuated if the evacuation zone is broaden out from 2 to 3 and 3 to 5 kms.
The group has identified Sleman Regency as a priority, as it affected by all three disasters types.
Overview given on the analysis of the weather situation, as well as threats and hazards and the logistics routes, including road, rail and port.
Planning to open five IDPs camps in Magelang, Surakarta, Gunung Kidul, Kulan Progo, Purworejo, for up to maximum of six months. The camp will be managed by the government of Indonesia and handed over to the local government. Services provided in the camp will include food and WASH. Safe sites have been identified as Magelang, Samanu, Kebupaten Kulon.

8. Meeting Minutes (Friday 24 April) Radiation
The group estimates that there are 250,000 IDPs and at this stage, there will be capacity for 140,000 at the site available.
The group wants to know, who will be running the camps and what support will be required from them.
Specific request on what exactly is needed by the military regarding transport, and assistance in camps.
It appears that three hospitals will need to be evacuated, it would be good to get an overview their ailments, so that this can be taken into consider for relocation.
IDPs gathering at the golf club and stadium which can be used as a gathering/collection site.
Body bags have been confirmed as being white colour, what are the burial requirements? What assistance does TNI need for the safe and respectful disposal of remains.
Logistics and school inspections are within their capacity but what comes after the inspections? At this stage, technical structural inspections are all that is required at this stage.
In addition, there were specific questions about the reactor and what is needed to shore it up and potentially get things back to operational.

This group is looking at a great number of evacuation zone, don’t want to have to keep moving people around. Will BNPB and TNI have assistance with route control. Need to consider fuel and emergency repairs.
