2 Alamo colleges The Alamo Colleges consist of five colleges:
St. Philip’s College (est. 1898) San Antonio College (est. 1925) Palo Alto College (est. 1985) Northwest Vista (est. 1995) Northeast Lakeview (est. 2007)

3 ABOUT THE ALAMO COLLEGES
5 Colleges – 4 individually accredited; 1 seeking candidacy 60,000 student enrollment each semester 5 HSI/ 1 HBCU Dual Credit enrollment: 17% 11 Early College High Schools

4 challenge Texas legislature passed HB505 in May 2015
A rule [from the texas higher education coordinating board] may not limit the number of dual credit courses or hours in which a student may enroll while in high school or limit the number of dual credit courses or hours in which a student may enroll each semester or academic year (

Included 15 of 38 school districts small, medium and large school districts School district representatives: Cte directors, curriculum & instruction executives, dual credit liaisons, hs/echs principals, hs counselors and superintendent, College representatives: college president, college faculty, finance representative, student success - advising representative, workforce program representative, hs programs representative, vice chancellor of academic success and vice president of academic success

Make available the apply texas guide Identify and make available a standard tsi pre-assessment activity for use by all partner school districts Develop course menu by entry point [One pager] document outlining implications of dual credit failure Crosswalk handbook with placement scores, pre-recs, etc Tsi prep resources

Provide resources for counselors on broad topics Create advising guides for transfer institutions Dual credit counselor training Develop a collaborative for hiring qualified dual credit instructors Provide a “space” / system to share instructional best practices Review nacep guidelines for accreditation Provide academic support (early alert, protocol to follow up with students)

Ensure consistency and equity in resource allocation to all districts through all colleges Develop shared funding mechanism to implement quality dual credit programs Develop partnership meetings to ensure mou items are discussed for subsequent year
