2 What are tides? The rising and falling of ocean water along our shores

3 What causes tides? GRAVITY and centrifugal force

4 How often do tides occur?
Most coastal areas experience two high tides and two low tides per day.

5 When are high tides? When a location if facing the moon and on the opposite side of the globe. High tides are 12 hours apart. Low tides are also 12 hours apart. It takes around 6 hours for a low tide to rise into a high tide. It takes another 6 hours for that high tide to lower back into a low tide.
