4. Project components New 8” Class 52 Ductile Iron Pipe and Fittings
New water services to the Right-of-way, including new curb stop and curb box, and connect to existing service lines
Services under the road shall be directionally drilled to limit street disturbance
Install new fire hydrants and removal of old
Removal of 5 trees as recommended by independent arborist hired by the village
Tunneling under remaining trees along the alignment
Some areas of sidewalk to be replaced
Driveway aprons to be replaced if impacted

5. Project schedule Advertise to bid: second week of February
Bid opening: March 10, 2017
Village award of bid: March 20, 2017
Estimated start of construction: Mid-April, 2017
Project substantially complete: end of July, 2017
Restoration complete and ready for final payment: end of august, 2017

6. During construction
Driveway access may be limited from time to time - contractor will be required to notify residents in advance.
There will be dust. Contractor is required to minimize this, however, construction work is dirty work.
Water should only be shut down when the contractor switches the service from the old main to the new main, and notifications will be made. Shut down should last no longer than 4 hours.
Accidents do happen. contractor can hit unmarked or incorrectly located services. They will notify residents if home and proceed with repairs.
