Cardiovascular diseases; Chronic respiratory diseases; Diabetes and Cancers 1.7 million people die yearly in the region (from the above 4) Projected to reach 2.4M in 2025 if urgent action is not taken Cardiovascular diseases account for about 54% from NCDs in the region 43 million people have diabetes; highest prevalence in the world. Some Challenges Impact on the healthcare infrastructure of host nations; Jordan withdrew free care of NCDs for refugees In Lebanon, a largely privatized healthcare system means that almost 15% of refugees were unable to pay for treatment, despite three quarters of healthcare costs being covered by UNHCR. Multiple protocols / guidelines
