1 “Father, Forgive us for We have sinned”

2 “Our Father” We have profaned your name
Because we did not live as brothers and sisters in this planet

3 “Our Father” We hindered the coming of your Kingdom
Because we have created an unjust world

4 “Our Father” We have desecrated your Holy will
The bread you gave is kept away from most of your children.

5 “Our Father” Forgive us for we do not know what we are doing. walls
Child soldiers war Prison abuse The cost of US war on Iraq alone per month is $ 5.6 billion. So far (May 2006) it cost billion which is enouh to run global anti-hunger efforts for 11 years or to immunize every child on the globe for 94 years.

6 Military expenditure The world spends $ 900 billion annually on military expenditure and arms trade Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children… This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron. -Former U.S. President, Eisenhower, in a speech on April 16, 1953 Cf.

11 What draws your attention, fun or tears of others?

12 Misplaced priorities: why do trivial things get priority over very important things?
The typical lifestyle in wealthy nations and of the wealthy in poor nations is throughly self-indulgent Enormous amount of suffering and death could be prevented with the reallocation of a small fraction of the world's spending on unnecessary things. Indebted partly to Joel Mawhorter.org

13 “Our Father” Deliver us from all evil
How do you respond as a son of the Father, a disciple of the Lord? By professing the poverty of the gospel by being poor in reality and Truth. Jesus made himself poor so that we become rich. By a style of life that constitute a personal and community sign of the Gospel

14 The Greed of the World continues the crucifixion of humanity.
Commitment of love that dares to be crucified becomes a spring of new life.

15 How does it affect your life style?
How do you express your solidarity with millions of your brothers and sisters who are poor in reality and broken in body? What do you dare to give up to improve the lot of others? What are you willing to renounce to show your solidarity with the poor?

16 Think about it.. What you eat more than what you need is of the hungry in the world What you possess more than what you need to use belongs to the poor The present distribution and management of the wealth of the world perpetuates violence and terrorism all the more. There cannot be a peaceful world without assuring the basic values of respect for the human person, fraternity of mankind, just distribution of resources and unity in diversity.

17 May I know you make you known, Serve you and make you served
O My God and Father May I know you make you known, Serve you and make you served Praise you and make all creatures praise you.
