Philadelphia could be called Philly or the “City of brotherly Love”
It’s the largest city in Pennsylvania and one of the first five in the USA
It’s a commercial, educational and cultural center
During the 18th century it became politically and socially important with Benjamin Franklin

3. The most important Philly’s museum
Museum of art
Situated at the west end of the B. Frankin Parkway in the Fairmount Park of Philadelphia
It is the biggest museum in the USA
It is inspired by the South Kensington Museum of London
It opened on May 10th 1877, at first was located in the Memorial Hall
In 1919 the construction of today’s building by Major Thomas B. Smith
The style of the building is by the Quasi-Greek Revival, designed by Horace Trumbauer
Its collection contains more than things like Roman and Egyptian pieces all bought from the University of Pennsylvania
