17 Eliminating Gaps For the first time ever, more African American Students have completed SEPs than our average SEP completion. African American Students are 2 or more times more success in the ASTEP programs. African American Success in Math 50 and Math 70 exceeded the average success rate, but we still have work to do in ACDV and Math B60.

33 POLICY CHANGE Pre-collegiate curriculum acceleration & compression
Application of Multiple Measures Over 80% of BC students enter unprepared and require pre-collegiate coursework to ensure readiness for college-level coursework. In the new, accelerated pathway, 57% of students are progressing through and successfully completing the requirement in a single course. This institutional shift has saved students well over $1.2 million in tuition and over 560 semesters of time.

These data represent remedial math completion for two year cohorts each year. Notice the increase at each subsequent year and the increase for African American success. This is mitigating the disproportionate impact while raising success rated for all students.
