Oregon Promise
A new state program that can help pay for community college. Student will only pay $50 per term, so essentially FREE
Who is eligible?
2016 Oregon high school graduates
Graduates who have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
Graduates who have been an Oregon resident for at least 12 months prior to enrolling in college
Graduates who enroll in Oregon community college within 6 months of high school graduation

‘D’ Policy
Oregon Public Universities do not accept grades lower than a “C-” in required academic courses
Students with “D’s” or lower in these courses will be required to make up the credit before applying to an Oregon Public University

16. College Admission Requirements
Colleges and universities consider the courses taken in 9th, 10th and 11th grade and the grades earned in those courses and the strength of senior schedule
Requirements include:
English- 4 years
Math- 3-4 years
Science- 3-4 years (2 years must be lab science)
Social Studies- 3-4 years
World Language- 2-4 years of same language
University of California System also requires one year of the same visual or performing arts and one year of World History
