3 BENEFITS OF EARLY ENTRY:
Gaining experience in VCE- including Exams and Scored Assessment which assists in their understanding and reducing apprehension Completing a subject which requires students to miss extended periods at school – OUTDOOR EDUCATION Doing a 6th Yr 12 subject which provides a bonus 10% for a student’s ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) Increasing the range of subjects a student can cover

4 SELECTION PROCESS You need to be both interested and have some skill in the subject area you are choosing. You need to attend school everyday To fast track a VCE subject you need to gain approval from your teacher in that subject area. Students traditionally fast track subjects offered at this school

5 SUBJECT SELECTION PLAN 2018-2020
Possible future career or fields of interest should be determined – at least 2 options The pre-requisites for tertiary study should be known VMG unit selection should complement this & in Yr 10 (2018)will include the fast track subject (Units 1 &2) In Yr 11(2019) Units 3 & 4 will be completed along with English +4 other subjects In Yr 12 (2020) English +4 other subjects will be undertaken TOTAL 6 SUBJECTS IN YR 11 WITH NO PRIVATE STUDY TOTAL 5 SUBJECTS AND PRIVATE IN YEAR 12.

9 SPECIAL NOTE: MATHS is generally not available for fast-tracking
OUTDOOR EDUCATION can only be selected as a fast-tracked subject FAST TRACKERS do not have private study lessons in Year 10 or Year 11 Recommended that 5 subjects are attempted in Year 12
