Local Students Working in HK – Exemption of Internships
Local students may apply for exempting the MII requirements … 1) Eligibility Possess official documentary evidence of previous structured and measured internship/work experiences, which i) take place in a maritime organizational context relevant to the student's future profession; or ii) develops the generic skills that will be valuable in maritime profession; Able to be exempted from a minimum of 80 up to 240 recognized hours. 2) Administrative Arrangement A notification regarding to this issue with template of application form will be sent to relevant students at the beginning of the coming Semester /16, and the application deadline is 9 October 2015.

Local Students Working in HK – Exemption of Internships Local students may apply to exempt the MII requirement … 3) Application Form with official documentary evidence to be submitted to Ms. Vincy M628 detailing the following: Organization/Company name Address Industry/Nature of business Supervisor’s name and contact details Period of work (start and end dates) Hours worked Work description, and official Job duty list, etc. 4) Approval Authority: The Programme Director, in consultation with the Programme Manager and the MII Coordinator, will assess the applications and approve the eligible ones Contact Ms Vincy Chung of LMS @ M628 for any queries
