Today, we want to tell you something about the seasons in Shijiazhuang. So you can get to know the city very well.

4. There are four seasons in a year.
They’re spring, summer, autumn and winter.

In Shijiazhuang, March, April and May are in spring. It is warm and rainy. The flowers come out. The trees and grass turn green.

Because it is warm in spring, so we take off our sweaters and thick clothes. We put on our jackets, jeans, shirts and blouses.

In spring, you can do many things. We can go for a picnic with our friends. We can fly kites in the park and we can also go hiking in the countryside.
The weather is pleasant and we will have a good time.

In summer, we can go swimming in the swimming pool. And in July and August we will have two month’s summer holiday. We can go for a trip to some other places. We can go to the seaside and play on the beach. On the beach it will be very cool and we will have a happy time there.

In summer, there are many festivals. May 5th in lunar calendar is an important festival for Chinese people. We will have 3 days’ holiday. And we can eat Zongzi and there will be Dragon Boat Races. June 1st is Chinese Children’s Day. It is a happy holiday for children. The children like it very much.

In Shijiazhuang, September, October and November are in autumn. It is cool and windy. The leaves become red and yellow. The leaves begin to fall down from the trees.

September 1st is the first day of the new term. Children come back to school. In autumn, there are many festivals. Mid-autumn Day is very important festival for Chinese people. We eat moon cakes. Qixi is on July 7th of Chinese lunar calendar. It is Chinese Valentine’s Day.

In Shijiazhuang, December, January and February are in winter. It is very cold and snowy. The trees have no leaves and the temperature is very low.

January 1st is the New Year’s Day. Spring Festival is very important festival for Chinese people. We eat dumplings, wear new clothes and set off fireworks. Lantern Festival is on January 15th of Chinese lunar calendar. We watch the lanterns and eat Yuanxiao.
