4 Classroom Policies and Procedures
Be in your seat when the bell rings with your class notebook out. Follow instructions for turning in work (The Procedures can change for different types of assignments) Cell phones and other electronics must be off and out of sight. If they are seen or heard they will be taken and turned in to the office. Students caught using a cell phone during class with have their citizenship grade dropped one level. Stay with the class. Do not enter parts of the lab away from the rest of the class and the teacher unless you have been given permission to do so. Computers are only to be used for class assignments. No online games, or unauthorized internet searches. Follow lab Safety rules. Participate in the activity- many of the activities in this class are graded on participation Have fun learning and Exploring NOTE: List rules/policies/procedures specific to your classroom (as opposed to school-wide policies/procedures). Consider policies for tardies/absences, late/missing work, homework/testing. Consider procedures for turning in work, picking up handouts and assignments when returning from an absence, etc. Also conside

5 Supply List Pen or Pencil everyday Student Planner
A 12 inch / 300 mm ruler 15-20 sheets of notebook filler paper that will go in a class note book provided by the school Closed toed shoes on the days we will be working in the lab. Hair bands to tie back long hair for lab days. NOTE: List what parents need to provide and what students need to bring to class everyday, like pens/paper, calculator, colored pencils, highlighters, reading book, pocket folders, 3-ring binders, dividers, instruments, clothing/shoes, etc. Also, list any materials that will be required for projects/presentations that parents may need to plan for, like tri-fold display board, pop bottles for rockets, fabric, paints, popsicle sticks, string, straws, etc.

Stay on Task, and get your assignments completed during class. (Work in this class is often difficult, or impossible to complete at home) Turn in all Assignments – check mydsd to make sure you aren’t missing anything Ask for help if you don’t know how to complete an assignment Do quality work- always try to do your best. You can purchase these from the School for $ Pay for them in the office, and bring the receipt to Mr. Chandler. If you wear prescription glasses you need safety glasses that will fit over them. You may need to shop around to find these.
