The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) has a membership of over 13,000 members worldwide Our aim and charitable objective is to set standards to improve women’s health and the clinical practice of obstetrics and gynaecology. This is achieved through: educating and supporting Members, Fellows, RCOG Associates and other clinicians advancing the science and practice through the setting of standards working with other organisations in health and the care of women

3 Criteria You must meet the following criteria to become an RCOG Associate: Have a medical degree Have NOT passed the MRCOG Part 2 exam Be working in or have an interest in women’s health care Promise to uphold the values of the RCOG

4 Your Professional Development
Continuing professional development (CPD or CME) is the process by which individual doctors keep themselves up to date and maintain the highest standard of professional practice The RCOG CPD programme enables participants to develop a tailored professional development plan based on their individual needs. The plan focuses on: the maintenance of knowledge and skill the enhancement of existing skills the development of new potential All individuals have their own preferred methods of learning and the RCOG programme allows flexibility in deciding the educational value of different CPD activities and resources. Educational meetings that you attend in your own country can also be used
