(A) Perfusion image of the lungs obtained in the anterior view demonstrates large segmental defects bilaterally (arrows), which are not matched by similar ventilation abnormalities (B). This pattern on a ventilation-perfusion scan carries a high probability for pulmonary thromboembolism.
