1. Vehicle Inspection and Clearance
Developed as part of the National Emergency Services Curriculum Project

2. Responsibility Driver is responsible for the vehicle while driving.
Team leader is in charge and responsible for team members, and has to insure that the team is going to be safe in the vehicle, and therefore needs to make sure that the inspection has been done

3. Checklist Usage Follow the checklists CAPF 73 (Daily Inspection)
Just because a vehicle is at mission base does not mean that it has been inspected
It can’t hurt to inspect a vehicle again
Mission Specific Equipment
CAP-USAF Evaluated SAR/DR Missions
Make sure you either have the evaluator with you when doing the inspection, or be ready to do it again

4. Mission Paperwork
While the inspection is being completed, the team leader or assistant leader should fill out two copies of the CAPF 109 or assign it to a team member for completion
Fill out as completely as possible
Get all required signatures
Leave a copy with the clearance officer
