Find the biggest and smallest numbers that round to 3.5 using three decimal places. We know that one number must be less and one must be greater than 3.5. I know that 3.4__ can round up to 3.5 if there is a five or more in the hundredths place. I add the zero to get 3 places and because that makes my number the smallest it can be… I know that 3.5__ rounds down if there is a four or less. Four is the biggest possible number that allows me to round down. Therefore 3.54__; the number in the thousandths place doesn’t matter on the rounding BUT the biggest number will be
