College Process Essay Opportunity for the student to share something that is not on the application Must be in student’s voice Review with English teacher, and counselor – too many reviews changes the voice Writing style can be identified if not the student’s Writing center in the library. Make an appointment to review your essay! John

Organize Final Application:
College Process Organize Final Application: Complete application (include supplemental parts if necessary) Enter Essay on online application Attach supporting documents: portfolio, etc.. Counselor will send: transcript, counselor and teacher recommendation Eileen

Processing the College Application
Step 1: We require 2 weeks notice prior to your first appointment. Step 2: Student must submit their portion of application prior to meeting with the counselor. Step 3: Students are asked to use the common application, whenever they can. Step 4: After processing first application, student should schedule repeat appointments whenever free. Eileen

Processing the College Application
Step 5: Fill out transcript request form and bring to the meeting with the counselor. Step 6: At meeting student will be present when all school documents are submitted. Step 7: Please remember there often exists a lag time between submitting materials and completing the student file on the college’s end. Step 8: Two weeks after submitting the applications if you do not see the application status “complete” on the college’s applicant portal, contact the admissions office to get an update. Eileen
