Nyland School Admission criteria Transition Mainstream reintegration
Through SENRAP – agreed EHCP for SEMH Under statutory assessment request by parent Request a place at Nyland and 15 days for Nyland to say they can or cannot meet need Transition Pupils will have a transition plan agreed at a meeting with parents before they start Mainstream reintegration No physical intervention for at least 2 terms; Child wants it; parent wants it Approach mainstream school for experience only Increase time as appropriate and agree dual placement through interim review if appropriate

Nyland Outreach Can only refer if school ‘buys into’ service
New referral system – 1. short ref and 2/3 visits 2. sign post or become involved 3. worker and school full referral and select appropriate training/packages/support together – including therapist support 4. Max 12 week input with regular reviews 5. Closing with next steps Support with application to SENRAP if appropriate (new form – send to SENAT ) for Alternative Provision/SRP/Nyland/Other SENRAP will expect a similar provision to have been allocated to pupils in schools who do not ‘buy in’ as they have chosen to keep their funding to buy their own provision

Alternative Provision
8 Alternative provision places Admission through SENRAP only 2/3 day provision – Mon +Tues at mainstream school, Tues-Fri Nyland – EQ focussed curriculum 5 days for PEX pupils Nyland is responsible for PEX pupils reintegration or application for EHCP which could be to support ongoing and long term support back in mainstream or requesting long term specialist provision/placement. 12 weeks only for non PEX pupils and there should be a similar aim for PEX pupils Baseline EYFS tool – Focus on learning skills and EQ need – tracked through EYFS tool and journal 3 meetings within 12 weeks to review Staff from mainstream to spend time with pupil in alternative provision to transfer EQ and learning skills Outreach worker if applicable to spend time with pupils in alternative provision and support transition back to 5 days after 12 weeks A service agreement will be signed at the first meeting

Special Resourced Provision
7/8 pupils SCID/SEMH needs with low behaviour and high anxiety 3/2 day with the first 3 days at SRP and the last 2 at their mainstream school Support from SRP staff in schools on Thursday and Friday 18 weeks only 3 meetings within 18 weeks Staff from mainstream to spend time with pupil in SRP Outreach worker if applicable to spend time with pupils in SRP and support transition back to 5 days after 12 weeks

Therapy Team Nyland therapy tem consists of:
Dramatherapy Play therapy Art therapy Occupational therapy (service level agreement) Counsellor Therapy for pupils 1-1 is accessed by pupils in 5 day Nyland provision with EHCP Therapy advice/support and training can be accessed through the outreach team for schools who ‘buy into’ the outreach service and a therapist will be part of the outreach team
