Space Position of object or shape higher on the page to make it seem further away. Overlapping is placing one shape on top of another to produce a feeling of depth. Size variation combines similar objects of different sizes. The smaller objects will seem further away than the larger ones. Color to create a sense of depth.

Space Linear perspective method of depicting 3D space on a 2D surface.
One point perspective straight lines are parallel , they seem to move away from viewer and meet at a point in the distance. Two point perspective uses parallel lines that seem to lead to two different vanishing points set far apart.
