Pros
Reduction in the amount of staff required for the enrolment process.
Data accuracy would be increased as information would be keyed on by the students and not secondary staff.
Data protection would be increased as data will be held securely on SERC servers.
Backups of the data could be stored whereas backups could not be taken with the paper based system
Cons
Staff be required to learn a new system
Students familiar with the current system may be confused with the electronic system
Some students may not be computer literate enough to fill out an online enrolment form.
