1 The Prince and the Pauper is perhaps Twain’s best known novel of “switched identities.” Here’s information about another of his “switched identity” novels, perhaps not as well known, but well worth reading. You may be familiar with the Pudd’nhead Wilson calendar quotes that are in the novel, but the novel unfolds larger lessons along with these shorter, often humorous, sayings. My class watched a good movie based on the novel that I hope you can find somewhere even if you don’t read the book. Here’s a link to a website to give information, and the next slide is the assignment we did. You can Google much more information if you wish. Perhaps the books has a wider audience than I realized. Hope so.

2 Puddn’head Wilson Assignment
For this assignment, you will be reflecting on the movie inspired by the Mark Twain novel Pudd’nhead Wilson. Directions: -Think about a character, event, or theme from the movie that had an impact on you. -Write a brief response, narrative piece, essay, or poem explaining, analyzing or describing your chosen topic and its impact as it relates to the movie. -When you are done with your draft and are pleased with it, you will be turning your writing into the shape of a fingerprint that takes up a piece of paper.
