1 God’s Essence Justice God is a God of Justice Isaiah 30:18 (NASB95)
18 Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. God’s Attribute of Justice Demands That God Deal With All Creatures Based on His Attribute of Righteousness Psalm 89:14a (NASB95) 14a Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; These verses show that God is a God of Justice. This is our next attribute we will be studying. The first attribute we studied is that of Sovereignty followed by Righteousness and now Justice. He is the righteous Judge. God must Judge using His attribute of Righteousness. He is always fair and right when He judges. Memory Verse Psalm 50:6b (NASB95) 6b For God Himself is judge. God's Essence

3 God’s Essence Justice God’s Divine Justice Can be Best Seen in God’s Plan of Redemption Redemption is Freeing From Sin On The Cross, Jesus Christ Transferred the Sin and Guilt of the Sinner Upon Himself This Satisfied the Perfect Justice of God The Penalty For Sin Was Paid in Full by Jesus Ephesians 1:7 (NASB95) 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses (sins), according to the riches of His grace God’s Divine Justice can be best seen in God’s perfect plan of redemption (to pay for). Redemption is freeing from your sin—taking it away as Jesus did on the cross. Jesus paid for our sins and guilt on the cross. Therefore God’s perfect justice was satisfied by Jesus taking our sins and being judged for our sins on the cross. The penalty for our sins was paid in full by Jesus. God's Essence

God’s Essence Justice All of Man’s Sin’s and Guilt Transferred to Jesus on The Cross Jesus on The Cross 1 Peter 2:24 Ephesians 1:7 Romans 3:26 Explain the page—verses on previous and following page. God's Essence

5 God’s Essence Justice The Penalty For Sin Was Paid in Full by Jesus
1 Peter 2:24 (NASB95) 24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. God is Now Free to Pardon and Justify the Sinner Who Accepts His Saving Grace Romans 3:26 (NASB95) 26 for the demonstration, I say, of His (God’s) righteousness at the present time, so that He (God) would be just and the justifier of the one (Believers) who has faith in Jesus. Romans 8:1 (NASB95) 1 Therefore there is now no condemnation (judgment) for those (Believers) who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 No condemnation, act of Judgment, for our sins because Jesus was judged by God the Father for all of our sins on the cross. God cannot judge us for our sins because Jesus was already judged for our sins. God's Essence

6 God’s Essence Justice God is Equally Free to Justly Condemn All Who Reject The Divine Provision of Salvation John 3:18 (NASB95) 18 “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36 (NASB95) 36 “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey (believe) the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” God is equally free to justly condemn all people who reject the divine provision of salvation (believing in Jesus that he bore our sins on the cross). This is the choice man has, to believe in Jesus or not to believe in Jesus. God's Essence

7 God’s Essence Justice Who is the Judge? John 5:22 (NASB95)
22 “For not even the Father judges anyone, but He (God) has given all judgment to the Son (Jesus Christ), John 5:27 (NASB95) 27 and He (God) gave Him (Jesus) authority to execute judgment, because He (Jesus) is the Son of Man. Acts 17:31 (NASB95) 31 because He (God) has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” We see that Jesus Christ is the Judge. Jesus does the judging as seen in the above verses. Jesus can judge man because he was a man so that is just. God's Essence

8 God’s Essence Justice God’s Penalty for Sin Physical Death Genesis 5:5
Result For Believers and Unbelievers Spiritual Death Genesis 2:17 Penalty for Sin Second Death Lake Of Fire Rev. 21:8 We studied this page some time ago during our study of Salvation. Spiritual death came to Adam and Eve for disobeying God in the garden by eating the fruit from the tree of good and evil. After they ate the fruit, they lost their human spirit and the OSN was then in their bodies. All death is the penalty for sin. All believers and unbelievers will have die physically baring the rapture. All unbelievers will end up in the lake of fire, hell, the second death. Result For Unbelievers God's Essence

9 The Judgment of All Church Age Believers
God’s Essence Justice The Judgment of All Church Age Believers The Bema Seat (Judgment Seat Of Christ) 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NASB95) 10 For we must all (believers) appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (worthless). Romans 14:10 (NASB95) 10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. All Church age believers will be judged at the Bema Seat by Jesus Christ, not for their sins, because Jesus Christ paid in full for all sins on the cross. The judgment will be based on their deeds, whether good or worthless. Actually it is a rewards ceremony. The good deeds will receive reward and the bad deeds will receive no rewards. God's Essence

10 The Judgment of All Unbelievers The Great White Throne Judgment
God’s Essence Justice The Judgment of All Unbelievers The Great White Throne Judgment Revelation 20:11–15 (NASB95) 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him (Deity) who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds (works). 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire (hell). In verse 11, both the Father and the Lamb (Jesus) are sitting on the throne. We see in Rev. 3:21 that Jesus is sharing the throne with the father. John ,who wrote the book of Revelation does not state who does the judging and does not make a distinction between God or the Lamb, Jesus. It is deity that sits on the throne and give the judgment. All unbelievers will be judged not for their sins (Jesus paid for those sins on the cross), but they will judged according to their deeds, works. Their deeds are written in the book of deeds as seen on page 12. We see in verse 12 that God keeps a record of all man’s deeds in books (the book of deeds). Remember the second death, is the lake of fire. God's Essence

11 God’s Essence Justice God’s Books The Book of Life
Book of Deeds (Works) Book of Life The Book of Life In Eternity Past, God Knew Who Would Believe And Put The Names of All Believers in the Book of Life In Eternity Past, God Knew Who Would Not Believe and Did Not Put The Names of All Unbelievers in the Book of Life Daniel 12:1 (NASB95) 1 “Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Revelation 20:15 (NASB95) 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written (Unbelievers) in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire (Hell). In the OT book of Daniel 12:1 we see that everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued, saved to Heaven and avoid the lake of fire. All unbelievers names were not put into the book of life and they will be thrown into the lake of fire, hell. God's Essence

12 The Book of Deeds (Works)
God’s Essence Justice God’s Books Book of Deeds (Works) Book of Life The Book of Deeds (Works) Believers at The Judgment Seat of Christ Will be Rewarded For Their Deeds, Whether Good or Worthless 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NASB95) 10 For we (Believers) must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (worthless). 1 Corinthians 3:12–15 (NASB95) 12 Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. 14 If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. All believers will be rewarded for their deeds or works that are found in the Book of Deeds. This will be done at the Bema seat as seen on page 9. The good deeds will be rewarded but the worthless deeds will be burned up. God's Essence

This is the second death, the lake of fire (Hell). All unbelievers will be judged according to their deeds as written in the book of deeds. This will determine their place in the lake of fire, hell. We have seen Revelation 20:11-14 on page 10. God's Essence

14 God’s Essence Justice The Lake of Fire (Hell)
Matthew 25:41 (NASB95) 41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones (unbelievers), into the eternal fire (lake of fire) which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; Revelation 20:10 (NASB95) 10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Revelation 20:15 (NASB95) 15 And if anyone’s name (unbelievers) was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. The above are verses that tell us about the lake of fire and who will be in the lake of fire (hell). God's Essence

All believers are in Heaven because they believed in Jesus, not because of sins they did or any works or deeds that they have done All believers are judged for their deeds Good or Worthless, then rewarded for the Good deeds. All Unbelievers are in the Lake of Fire, Hell, because they did not believe in Jesus. Not because of sins they did, or any works or deeds that they did. Unbelievers will be judged for their deeds. The lake of fire will contain, all unbelievers, Satan, Fallen angels (demons), the antichrist and the false prophet. God's Essence
