Donate your used stamps
The department/team has a scheme in place to collect waste A4 paper printed on one side only and, rather than sending it for recycling, the department either reuses it itself or donates it to another organisation for reuse. Stamps are collected and given to charities to sell. Find a collection envelope located: (insert location) All stamps welcome!

When leaving your desk Switch PCs and Monitors off overnight.
Set your computer to shut down if nobody is logged on. Did you know? Screensavers actually use lots of energy so it’s more efficient to turn your monitor off or put your computer to sleep than putting a screensaver on.

Air conditioning Turn it off when you don’t need it
Dress lightly to avoid having to use air conditioning Don’t cool the room below 24 degrees, energy cost increase by 10% for every degree less.

Jumper on before heating on
Wrap up this winter – by turning down the thermostat 1 degree you can save £65 and 260kg CO2 a year… per room! Heat no higher than 21 degrees please

Please don’t alter the setting on this radiator
The radiators have been specifically set so that the average room temperature is no higher than 21 degrees

Dripping tap? If you see a dripping tap report it to INSERT APPROPRIATE CONTACT Or report it at the facilities helpdesk: A dripping tap wastes 5,000 litres of water a year – that’s enough to make around 20,000 cups of tea. You may have somebody in the department responsible for maintenance issues, but if not any staff members can report faults like dripping taps online at the address above – delete as appropriate
