Blood Conscience

Matthew 26:26-28 26. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27. Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

1 Timothy 4:1-3 1. Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2. Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3. Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

Kauteriazo Strongs: “whose souls are branded with the marks of sin, who carry about with them the perpetual consciousness of sin.”

1 John 3:10-12 10. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12. Not as Cain who was of the wicked one murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous.

Genesis 4:2-7 3. And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the ground to the Lord. 4. Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, 5. But He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. 6. So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7. If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

Genesis 4:2-7, 10-12 7. Is there not, if thou dost well, acceptance? And if thou dost not well, at the opening a sin- offering is crouching, and unto thee its desire, and thou rulest over it. 10. And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. 11. So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12. When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.

Exodus 12:5-7 5. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6. Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight. 7. And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it.

Exodus 12:13 13. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Hebrews 10:19-23 19. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20. By a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21. And having a High Priest over the house of God, 22. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Hebrews 12:24 24. To Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Exodus 25: 10-11, 16-22 10. And they shall make an ark of acacia wood… 11. And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and shall make on it a molding of gold all around. 16. And you shall put into the ark of the Testimony which I will give you. 17. You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold… 18. And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.

Exodus 25: 10-11, 16-22 19. Make one cherub at one end, and the other cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim at the two ends of it one piece with the mercy seat. 20. And the cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. 21. You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony that I will give you. 22. And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim…

John 20:11-17 11. But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13. Then they said to her, “woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” 14. Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus.

John 20:15-17 15. Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” 16. Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). 17. Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.”

Romans 3:23-26 23. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24. Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25. Whom God set forth as a propitiation (mercy seat) by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26. To demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
