2 Top 9 National Parks in Poland
Biebrzański NP is the largest national park in Poland, has as many as 592, 23 km sq. It was founded in 1993 in the North Podlasie Lowland. The symbol of the park is a bird - a battalion. Biebrzański PN is a paradise for animals living in the swampy environment. We find here mainly ruff already mentioned, but also the crane, owl mud, a small gull, terns, lesser or eagle owl. In the park grow numerous plant species of peat-bog. 1. Biebrza National Park

3 2. Kampinos National Park
Kampinoski NP was created in 1959, it lies in the Mazowieckie Province. The symbol of the park is a moose, and the area around the object has 385, 48 sq. km of the park is covered by forest Kampinowski. Most of the landscape park create forests, but on its premises we can find, among others, swamp. Among the representatives of the animals we find, eg. European beaver, the lesser spotted eagle and the aforementioned elk.

By the sea, in turn, is Slowinski National Park. It was created in 1967, its area has km sq. The symbol of the object is a seagull. In the park you can admire the so-called. wandering dunes, the highest of which is Mount Lacko. As for the animals that we can find on the ground, they include foxes, hares, stoats, martens and raccoon dogs. In turn, the flora of formed mainly peat bogs, pine and alder forests.

5 4. Bieszczady National Park
This park was created in 1973 in the Western Bieszczady Mountains. Its surface has km sq. The area is inhabited mainly by mammals and birds of prey. We find there, among others, brown bears, wolves, wildcats, lynx, lesser spotted eagle or golden eagle. One of the most valuable plants are found in approx. 70 species of alpine taxa. In the Bieszczady PN we can also hit eg .: the serpent Aesculapius. The symbol of the park is the lynx.

6 5. Tatra National Park This park was created in Its area is more than 211 km sq. The symbol of the object is the chamois. Tatra PN are resident representatives of species such as the brown bear, chamois, marmot or a wolf. Most of the park area is covered by forests, the rest of the landscape consists primarily of mountain pine, alpine grasslands and water.

7 6. Magura National Park Magura NP lies on the border of two provinces: Małopolskie and Podkarpackie. The park was created in 1995, and its area is more than 194 km sq. The symbol of the park is the lesser spotted eagle. It is located around the area of the source Wisłoka. At the park landscape consists mainly of forests. The area is inhabited by, among others, lynxes, martens, foxes, wolves and otters, as well as the already mentioned lesser spotted eagle. The park is also home for example. Salamander spotted the yellow-bellied toad.

8 7. Wigry National Park Created in 1989, National Park, whose area has 149, 99 sq km. It is situated on the northern end of the Augustow Forest. The symbol of the park is the European beaver. Through the park flows the river Czarna Hańcza. Landscape park filled with postglacial terrain. In the park you will find a lot of lakes, including Lake Wigry. Park are resident, among others, wolves, otters and moose. In this area we also find harrier and grain. Grow there, among others, hornbeam and alder swamps.

9 8. Drawieński National Park
Park is located in three provinces: Zachodniopomorskie, Lubuskie and Wielkopolska. A significant part of it is Drawska Forest. The park was created in 1990, and its area has km sq. The symbol of the object is the otter. At the park landscape consists mainly of rivers, lakes, forests and peat bogs. Drawieński PN is famous for such specimens of animals, such as, among others, brown trout, salmon, tree frog, bat, pond turtle, eagle, white-tailed and lesser spotted eagle.

10 9. Wolin National Park This park was created in 1960, it has over 109 sq km. The symbol of the object is a white-tailed eagle. Wolin PN is located in the island of Wolin. There are growing mainly pines and beeches, as well as protected species of plants, such as .: sea holly and orchids. When it comes to animals, a very interesting one is the already mentioned white-tailed eagle, as well as, among others, gray seal and harbor porpoise.
