4. Ukrainian Studies research showcase
Provided an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to present on Ukrainian-related research.
4 Presentations followed by a reception.
This goals of this event were:
To provide students an opportunity to present on Ukrainian-related research.
To provide the campus and wider community an opportunity to see what students in the Ukrainian Studies program are up to.
The first annual USRS was held in conjunction with the PCUH’s Annual Mohyla Lecture.
The event was funded by the SUSK Project Fund and the PCUH.

5. Ukrainian Studies research showcase
The event was promoted through a Facebook event page (shared by execs, family, friends and community organizations), a poster on campus and in the community, internal s and class announcements in our Ukrainian Classes.
A committee was created for the planning of the USRS, which allowed the rest of the executive to focus on promotion.
Attendance was estimated based on how many people usually attended the Mohyla Lecture.
Approximately 60 people attended.

6. Ukrainian Studies Research Showcase
We received informal feedback, all of which was positive.
Following the event photos were posted on Facebook and the PCUH made a follow up post on their website.

7. Biggest challenges of the year
Our USO experienced high turn over in the last few years.
We chose to cut larger events planned for the second term and instead focus on planning smaller events and focusing on building relationships and learning how to work well together.
In the future, we will be focusing on doing only what our executive can comfortably manage rather than what we are capable of doing.
