Rocky Mountain AIAA Young Professionals (YP) “Needs”
Orion Program YP Engagement Survey Showed a High Overall Positive Experience Opportunities to Contribute Beyond “Day to Day” Assignments is a Major Key to YP’s Morale Engagement and Retention Giving a Lot (vs. a Little) of Responsibility and Accountability Early Goes a Long Way with YPs Incorporate YPs into the Work Team Immediately - Engage (and Hold Them) to be Accountable! Error on the Side of Giving them “too much work” Involvement in Broad Industry Initiatives the Start – Give YPs the “Bigger Picture” Faster Dynamic Environments Promotes Team Synergy and Stimulates Growth in all Employees Involved Stagnation is the Enemy of Too Much for New Hires – Don’t Let it Happen! “Hands-On” YP Work Experiences and “Lessons Learned” Increases Involvement and Morale Orion EFT-1 Launch “Experiences” Noted Incorporation of More Efficient Knowledge Transfer and “Mentoring” Systems Dedicate Experienced Personnel who are “Teaching Types” vs. “Doing Types” to YPs Create a Dynamic Work Environment that Promotes Rapid Growth and Learning YPs Dynamic Employee Engagement is Key to Our Future Workforce Success
