COOPERATIVE EDUCATION is a method of instruction that combines classroom learning with paid employment directly related to classroom instruction. The school and the employer both contribute to the student’s career objectives and employability. SCHOOL COMMUNITY STUDENT

15 WHO MAY USE THE COOPERATIVE EDUCATION METHOD?
Students enrolled in an approved career and technical preparation program. Students who are 16 years of age or older. Students with definite career objectives. Students who have the ability, interest, personality, and work habits needed to succeed on the job. Students who are willing to accept on-the-job training for a minimum of 11 to 15 hours a week and have the consent of parents or guardians. Students who have been interviewed and approved by the coordinator.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION? The need for a trained workforce necessitates a blend of knowledge, skills, and personal qualities that are needed for a solid job performance. The COOPERATIVE EDUCATION method of instruction provides opportunities for the blend.
