Lord Baltimore was the leader of Baltimore, Maryland.
John Smith was the leader of Jamestown, Virginia.
The Albemarle group was the leader of North Carolina.
The Charleston group was the leader of South Carolina.

In the Southern Colonies, there we many African Slaves, (and Native American slaves.) There were also European farmers, and English debtors. Another type of settlers were Indentured Servants.
