5. Grading Homework (35%) Paper-Based Homework
Based on completion and worth 5 points per assignment.
Late assignments will be accepted the next day for half credit. Past that, it’s a zero.
All work missed during an excused absence must be made up within the number of days you missed plus an additional day.

6. Grading MathXL Homework
Based on an accuracy score of about 8 – 15 points depending on the length of the assignment.
You will have two days to complete the assignment.
Late assignments receive a 10% reduction in score for each day late and require a password from me to complete the work.

7. Grading Assessments (65%) Quizzes Most quizzes will be unannounced.
They let me see if you are keeping up with your homework and they let me know what areas need additional focus before the next test.
Tests
Expect a point test at the end of each ½ chapter.
I will structure the tests so you have time during one class period to complete them.

8. Calculators Not required but helpful TI 30 by Texas Instruments
Graphing calculator not necessary
