When you put anything on the internet, it is there forever, and people will be able to find it just by searching your name. This video will help you understand the impact of the information you put out on the internet.

“Copyright and Fair Use” Video
In middle school, students are often required to use the internet to search for information to use in assignments. It is very important to remember the rules about copyright and fair use. You always have to remember, if you didn’t create something yourself then you have to give credit to the creator. If you have more questions about citation and fair use, ask your media center instructor or your classroom teacher. They will be happy to help you follow copyright and fair use policies.
