Devil’s picture of far country is different than God’s picture

Sheep = Lost but it belonged to a shepherd
Coin = Still belonged to the lady
Son = Still belonged to his father
Father had suffered a broken heart daily
God cares, God knows and God Suffers !
“God is the chief sufferer in the universe.”

Coin = Holy Spirit is the search light

He Must Return As He Left !

23. The RISK OF GOD God wanted sons – not slaves
Man can remain at home or …
Journey in a far country
Father = suffer, cry, look and wait
Father let the son fall completely into the hog pen
Could have bailed him out
Son came to Himself
While feeding hogs
Resolution to return
Will his father Receive Him ?

24. The RISK OF GOD Yes He will – He ran to Him Saw him afar off
Hope of father “My child will return”
Took a father to recognize his son
When he left home….
Now he is…..
The Father said…..

25. Luke 15:22 "But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.
23 'And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;
24 'for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry.

26. Will God Run ? Yes ! God Runs When Prodigals Return !
Prodigal is saved by grace…
Not because he walked home
Not because he repented
But because of God’s love and forgivenes

World is filled with Lost People
Sheep = because they strayed

Son = by his own will
God will Run Today ?
Will you return ?
