Bayou Classic BizTech Challenge
HBCU students showcase their talents by developing alpha prototypes and short business plans for innovative product ideas, then pitch to a panel of judges for cash and prizes to be awarded at the historic Bayou Classic football game in New Orleans, Louisiana. November 2016 BizTech Challenge All 6 HBCU campuses in Louisiana participated. 68 students, 19 teams, 6 teams and 100+ attendees at the finals. November 2017 BizTech Challenge Reaching out to HBCUs outside of Louisiana. Expanding educational component w/ LaunchPad Central and various seminars. Challenge categories include Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Energy and Digital Technologies. Partnered with Southern University, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, America Makes and the HBCU Clean Energy Coalition. Instituting long term tracking of participants via LinkedIn.
