Instructions for instructors
It is estimated that students this lesson will take about 80-90’minutes This presentation is to be combined with practical application in Office365. We begin by welcoming students in the project. We explain the approach of the project and then we move on to teach some basic features of OneNote and create their personal Notebook. We make sure that we have created a OneNote class notebook “OneNote in my class (school name)” for the class the lesson is to be applied. We can distribute a ready made content library to the new notebook. This presentation without the comments for the instructors can be available for the students, in the content library of their class notebook. Please read the notes of each slide for further instructions.

What is the ATS2020 project? Your class will participate in the Assessment of Transversal skills project (ATS2020). The project is funded by the European Union. The project is comprised of 17 partners from 11 EU countries. Through the project, you will have the chance to get involved with new ways of learning using new digital tools.

What are transversal skills
What are transversal skills? (for the instructor – explanatory text on the previous slide) Transversal skills are skills that are required in the 21st century society. This project will focus on some of them and we will try to develop them with the help of technology. Let’s see on which skills we will focus. We know very well how important it is to be able to communicate and collaborate with people around us. For this reason one competence area we will work on, is on how to become better at working with others, but also how to become better at communicating with others what we know, our ideas and our work. Another area that we will address is the development of creativity and innovation. To be able, that is, to utilize material we have located and turn it into something new, something our own. To be able to identify a need or a problem and take action to find creative solutions. We will particularly deal with autonomous learning. By autonomous learning we mean to be able on our own to take the initiative to track our learning needs, formulate objectives, identify learning resources, choose and implement strategies for learning and evaluate our learning outcomes. The other area of competences we will work on is informational literacy. Those are the skills that enable a person to identify, locate, evaluate and use the information they need in an efficient manner. Text to say for the previous slide

For the lessons you will do different tasks and activities. For each learning cycle you will keep your personal “My learning journal” for your learning and prepare your ePortfolio for that unit. Also, you will have a “My learning journal” for the skills you will develop during the year. In the end of the year you will have an ePortfolio for all the units. You will monitor your progress through your self-evaluation during the school year and form your final self-evaluation. You will also be evaluated by your teacher and classmates and take action to improve. Evaluation ePortfolio My participation in ATS2020 for “My learning” journal ATS2020 My skills for

“My learning” journal For each unit you will keep your “My learning” journal This journal will be the space to set goals, develop strategies to achieve them and generally to think about what you have learnt. Prior knowledge What do I already know on the subject? What kind of skills do I already have? Setting goals What are my goals? What do I want to succeed? Strategies What can I do to reach my goals? Evidence What kind of evidence do I need to prove my learning achievements? Self-evaluation Did I achieve my goals? What could I do better?
14
ePortfolio ePortfolios are dynamic digital spaces that belong to you and work as: Repository Students create and collect material. (e.g. upload and save photos, voice files, pictures, documents, videos, links or other interesting material) Workspace Students set their goals, organize their learning experiences and activities, collaborate with others, reflect and evaluate their own and their classmates’ learning process. Showcase Students present their achievements, work and learning products.
